Have You Heard About "Growth Mindset".

Have you hears about the "growth mindset"? No! Not to worry I will explain all to you. Do you ever feel something is too challenging so you just decide to give up. Yeah? Well stop that right now. That is a fixed mindset and is not healthy. You've got get a growth mindset. A growth mindset is when you're met with the same challenges but will still attempt them. You may not fully succeed but you tried and you're gonna keep on trying until you succeed.

Carol Dweck said it best, its not a fail grade. Its a not yet grade. If you think about it, "I didn't get an A in my test YET", sounds so much better than "I didn't get an A in my test". It shows that even though you couldn't succeed the first time, you realise it was challenging and enjoyed it because you have a growth mindset and allowed your brain to grow and develop.

For example, I had originally failed my modules in semester 2, but with my growth mindset I accepted it was challenging - completed the repeats and here I am developing in year 2, keeping on top of my assignments.

I believe considering I have already sat repeats and know what they're like, I'll use my growth mindset to complete these assignments and get into year 3, even though I heard year 2 is the hardest year in college.

As a musician, I have to use a growth mindset to not keep starting songs and moving onto another before the first one is finished because it gets too hard. I just need to finish one before I start a new one. Thats how I relate to it.

I know I'm not perfect and I really hope to grow more and learn a lot more about growth mindset and developing our minds.

After through all the modules I have this semester, I can not see one that I would not be happy to learn about. They all seem so interesting and even though some more than other, I am still gonna give my all to each and every one of them.
